FoXS developed the first line of arterial blood gas monitors:

• Fiberoptic based
• O2, CO2, Ph measured continuosly through standard A Line
• Measurements taken on side, not end, of fiber

FoXS was acquired by its funding partner, Puritan Bennett (now Mallinkrodt).
