NDC created the first commercial laser cut polished nitinol cardiovascular stents. The stent required three key technologies:

• NiTi tube drawing
• Precision laser cutting of drawn tube
• FDA quality de-burring and polishing

NDC was acquired by Cordis, a division of Johnson & Johnson
